Camp Policies

Leader In Charge

The leader in charge, and accountable for the booked camping facility, must check in at the Rangers Office (adjacent to the Scout Shop parking lot accessed from the Simcoe Street entrance) and advise that you are on site. Late arrivals (after 8:00 pm) must contact the Ranger at 905-571-1346 (extension 32).

Provide the completed Booking Form (with assigned Permit #) to the Ranger upon arrival.

The Leader in charge is to inspect the facility upon arrival, note any concerns, and inform the Ranger on duty. Failure to do so may result in the loss of the $50.00 damage deposit.

Advise the Ranger when you expect to be ready to have your facility inspected prior to leaving.

Modified Site Allocations

We reserve the right to change or modify your booked site when conditions require. This will be advised when you contact the Ranger.

Arrivals

Check-in is between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm for weekend rentals. If you require access before 4:00 pm, please contact the Ranger ahead of time.

All Campers and camp visitors are to use the Conlin Road entrance. There is no access to camping areas from the Simcoe Street entrance.

One (1) vehicle is permitted to be parked at or adjacent to the rented site or cabin for Emergency use only. For rented Camp Sites, the vehicle cannot be parked on an unpaved or gravel surface. Unless being used for an emergency, the vehicle must not be moved during the rental period.

All other vehicles are to be parked in the North Parking lot (by Council Hall), with campers and/or visitors walking to campsites and cabins.

Other than cars, no other motorized vehicles (such as bikes; ATVs), skateboards, or bicycles are allowed at camp at any time.

Because of cleanliness issues and the prevalence of wild animals throughout the site, pets are not allowed to visit or stay at camp.

Garbage, Recycling

Open Fires

You may only use already established fire pits, and you must bring your own wood. There will be no cutting of trees or deadfall.
